Welcome to Leadership Cumberland

For twenty years, we have developed leaders to serve the Cumberland County community, and we are still going strong! Over 300 individuals have graduated from the Leadership Cumberland program. Our participants come from a diverse group of local employers and government agencies and a recent survey indicated that more than 85% of them continue to volunteer and serve their community after graduation.

The main focus of Leadership Cumberland is the 10-month leadership development program that begins in August. The program curriculum is based on non-profit board governance, with an emphasis on PA state government organization and function. Each individual participates in a monthly seminar, interns on a non-profit board of their choosing, and experiences membership on the class public issue forum board.

While our class participants differ in age, background, and professions, they each share a common trait - the motivation and desire to take on greater responsibilities in the community and at work. We are excited about the Leadership Cumberland program and what we offer the community and our participants. We know that Cumberland County is a great place to live and work; help us make it an even better place to 'give back.'
